A little bit of workplace humor kicks off this page. As a graphic and website designer, I have lots of opinions about user interfaces. Sometimes a piece of software or website is a really useful product or service, but you can barely get it to work because the controls are so terrible. Or, sometimes it's the other way around--the design is great, but the product might as well not even exist. Neither extreme is very good.

What better way to ramp up the drama than to complicate matters with an injury. Now Renee has been shot, so Mike's job just got much more complicated. Fulfill his part of the plan, or tend to his friend? The same thing happened to Stu in the previous volume, where I also used an injury as a device to add more duress to an already stressful situation. Perhaps I went to the well too many times, but come on. There are lasers flying around everywhere, plus the Chaos Effect is making things even more unpredictable. I feel that an injury is not out of place given the circumstances.
