The jokes on this page are rapid-fire, exactly how I like them. The banter between all parties is solid and flows well, and the pedestal site gag in the third panel still makes me laugh. It's such a simple joke, but Stu's indignant response really sells it.

Not exactly sure how our three heroes are able to go unnoticed here, but hey, there's probably a lot of bustling activity, so it's not impossible. Sam Beckett always managed to talk to Al in situations where it seemed like he really shouldn't be able to get away with it, and that (almost) always worked out.

I still think the humor is killer in this era of the comic. I'm trying to remember what my comedy influences were at the time. I'm sure Futurama was still a big one, and had been for about four years at this point. Classic Simpsons and Seinfeld were getting a lot of air time in my house, and I think around this time, Scrubs and My Name is Earl were pretty big ones, too. I'm sure there were others I am not giving due credit, but I just can't remember them at the moment.
